Job Description:

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify user behaviors through contextual research, interviews, focus groups, and facilitation
  • Determine use cases and user interaction to design solutions to support business objectives
  • Understand user needs and motivations uncovered in research and translate them into design solutions
  • Communicate research insights and design concepts through compelling presentations / demos to influence project teams and stakeholders
  • Develop user flows, task analyses, wireframes, personas, journey maps, et. al. with the ability to easily move between strategy and execution
  • Develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups, style guides, and specifications. Develop and iterate through low fidelity and high fidelity prototypes
  • Design and recommend visual styles and standards
  • Collaborate with a team of business analysts, UX designers, project managers, and developers to ensure positive outcomes
  • Lead, facilitate and moderate workshops, whiteboard sessions, affinity mapping / card sort / workshopping, etc
  • Lead offshore UX team and coordinate their activities & deliverables
  • Evangelize best UX practices and methods to and on behalf of the team with a view always extending across the organization and design system

 

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in a design related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in UX Design and Information Architecture
  • 3+ years of experience around data, reporting and analytics applications
  • A design portfolio including case studies and samples of work
  • Deep understanding of user interface design, information architecture, disseminating and presenting research findings and in developing interactive concepts and wireframe prototypes
  • Expert knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to data & analytics applications
  • Experience with complex data representations and visualization
  • Experience with user-centered design principles, usability, human factors, conceptual visualization, information and user flows, iterative prototyping, branding.
  • Solid understanding of user interface design patterns, information architecture and user experience best practices.
  • Proficiency with UI/UX design and specification tools, including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Has strong presentation and collaboration skills and can communicate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation
  • Independent. Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Go-Getter. Possesses strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and demonstrated ability to re-prioritize accordingly. Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines
