Job Description:

Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Managing a medium-sized technology work unit or one or two smaller, specialized work units with an indirect impact on organization-wide objectives.
  • Working on moderately complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of numerous factors. Establishing and recommending changes to policies which affect work units directly and indirectly managed, in attempts to avoid erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs, staff, and delays in overall schedules.
  • Interacting with direct reports, customers and functional peer group managers.
  • Typically has exempt staff and some lower-level managers as direct reports.
  • Managing multiple applications and is responsible for making sure all software and risk management policies are being followed.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the business units that are being supported.

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology experience
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience, in a technology environment

  • Exposure to Wells Fargo TFS (Team Foundation Server)
  • Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support
  • Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC): all phases and types of testing
  • 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 5+ years of banking industry experience
  • MS SQL server experience
  • Experience supporting .net applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Azure cloud computing technology
  • Ability to identify root-cause issues/improvement opportunities, and design approaches/programs/products to improve overall quality assurance
  • Experience developing improvement processes and implementation strategies
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies, finding opportunities to streamline business processes, and implementing change
